Join us for dinner on Sunday, November 6th, 2011 as we offer an evening of Uyghur fine dining, prepared by a master chef and presented in Philadelphia's historic Old City district at National Mechanics. There are only two restaurants in America that serve Uyghur cuisine, so this event is a rare opportunity to enjoy one of the best-kept secrets in the culinary world. The Uyghur people are a Turkic ethnic group whose heartland shares borders with Russia, Mongolia, Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Their cuisine, while borrowing some influences from their neighbors, is truly unique. Chef Ahmet Mamut is travelling to Philadelphia to join us for this special one-night-only event.
